Mischievous Sims asked: “Are face markings hard to make?”
I found a tutorial on Youtube that showed how relatively straightforward they are to do using TSR Workshop. The tutorial uses Gimp - though, as the pattern is saved as a .png file, you could use any program that you have that will edit .png.
There are also tutorials on using TSR Workshop. The TSR Workshop also allows you to edit other things, like hair, objects and clothes. Only tried out editing the hair and makeup so far. (With limited success on the hair,) The TSR Workshop produces Sims 3 Packs. I believe that there is another program available that will produce packages.
Hope this helps :)
Thanks to you and everyone else for your kind comments on my Irisa attempt :D
So, there are now two versions of the attempt at an Irisa.
I think we know which one we have to delete.
Don’t be like me and decide, late at night, that you want custom face markings for your attempt at an Irathient. Look up how to do it and download TSR Workshop because it looks easiest.
Because, if you’re like me, you’ll also decide that silly o’clock is the perfect time to also try your hand at hair painting, which of course is not the right time.
Aargh, I can get too stripey or only one streak in the wrong place. Guess I should get some sleep and then look up how to do it. :(
Claire Reyk, another Troglodile.
Not sure just what the Troglodile’s will be up to. Their mission (at present) seems only to satisfy my urge to make some aliens, with squishy tummies, using Sim-It-Up’s Alien Skintone.
Mischievous Sims was asking, earlier, about where to find long and long streaked hair for guys as they were planning to recreate some Castithans.
I decided to have a look and really could hardly find anything. The best that I found was a shorter hairstyle by Paintstroke (a retexture of Newsea Footprint) though I think I preferred the length of Beaverhausen’s retexture of Peggy #828 even though it wasn’t really streaked.
There are streaked hairs for men out there but they all seem to be short. However, I’ve just read that Mischievous Sims is going to use Master Controller to convert some female hair. So, guess that it’s all good.
In the meantime, I put my generic Castithan hair tester sim into game with my (somewhat failed attempt) at Irathient, Irisa. At first, I thought they were getting along…
